Hello everybody;
I come here every days, but very often on reader.
It's especially because my english speaking is not very good : I don't understant all, and I don't know how to say all I think
I try to learn, but it's difficult without teacher.
Langage tools from Google are very practical
Some of my F-Body's :
- 1972 Formula 400
I bought this car for make a pro-touring.
But when I have I dismounted it, I saw that all the original parts were still there.
Then I decided to restore it like origin.
The engine, transmission, front et rear axle are fully restored.
Now I must make the body : I must replace some panel on the rear.
- 1974 Formula 400
This car was sold new in France.
I'm the second owner.
With only 55 000kms on the tach, this car runs very well.
It's 99.9% original; the 0.01% are the wheels, they are the wheels of my 72 F400. Of origin there is of 14' Honeycombs, the tires still have a good profile, but the sides are cracked. And I prefer the look with Rally wheels.
For the next winter I must make some body repairs, time with fact its effect at certain places.
- 1979 Trans Am
This car is very special...
strange paint (with spangles), bad front, 6 cylinders under the hood, beige interior repaints in red (on the car, without disassembling !), and I forget certainly some
The body is in very good condition, I dont need to weld some sheets.
It's an excellent base for a pro-touring !
I bought a LT1 and T56 transmission from 1993 Camaro (thanks again Brian
).
I took too the rear axle, and the front brake calipers from the same car.
I manufactured a rotisserie (with steering in the 2 ends) to work more easily.
I did not decide which parts yet to choose for the chassis, nor if I will leave this front or will put that of origin, and I don't know either which color it will be.
While waiting to decide to me, I still have much time to think of it !
The next steep is to fix the engine and the trans on the front frame, for making a new trans mount.
But before I need a bellhousing; if anyone have this, i'm interested.
I will try to come here regularly to give you news of my Pontiac (and of my other US cars).
Francis
