Just wondering if there was anything scheduled or even thought of in the coming days about getting together and goin' cruisin' or bbqin' or anything. Just thought I'd put that out there and see what kind of responses I get.

Could maybe do a little Rhön-cruise some time ... meet up in Fulda, do some cruising, maybe set up a little mobile BBQ somewhere on the way ...

Yes we should do a cruise again this year. I really liked the last one we did...

I was thinkin' like July timeframe but I'd be down for something earlier but keep me posted. I just hadn't seen anything as of late so I thought I'd put up a post and see what generated.

I'm down for a gtg anytime, especially in july (wife & kids are gone for a month ) Speaking of which, I can host a BBQ at my place (near mainz/wiesbaden) as an end of cruise thing or something. Just a thought. Scott

Maybe we can shoot for the 2nd weekend in July, cruise for a few hours, then come back to the house for some chow and a few beers.
What do y'all think?
Scott

I'm thinking Saturday. Less obligations the next day, so if people want to stay and have a few extra drinks, they can crash at the house and not have to worry about work in the morning.

That sounds like a great plan. I'll make sure that weekend is open and the car is ready to rock and roll.

I don't know the area well enough to suggest a route. But I do think it should be a mix of back road twisties and "not so populated" autobahn. That way we can give our cars a good "all around" workout. If we're ending at my place (wiesbaden area) maybe we should start somewhere in the middle of all of us, then find a route that'll take 2 hrs or so. How does that sound? Scott

there is a really cool looking castle called Eltz Castle ( www.burg-eltz.de) that we could cruise to. Thats only one suggestion but I'm really new to Germany so if there are any other ideas I'm ok with it.

Concerning the date, should be OK for me. Don't remember if I've ever been to Burg Eltz but it looks interesting.

I figured it wouldn't be so far away to go to but still a good drive but like I said if anyone has another idea I'm cool with it. So where are we gonna meet up then? If someone can PM me the address I will add it into my GPS to make things easier for me to get there since I'll be coming from Stuttgart.

So let's sum up: It's Saturday, July 9. If we go to Burg Eltz I think it makes sense to either meet in Wiesbaden which is not exactly but about on the way for the people from Stuttgart. Or we could meet at Autohof Waldlaubersheim which is near Bingen and where everyone coming from the east or south has to go anyway.
