Just in case you didn't know but the aluminum driveshaft from a 4th generation Camaro will fit our cars. I have an aluminum driveshaft from a 2002 SS Camaro on mine.

Is it from a V6? From my understanding the V6 driveshaft is a two piece kinda like a big truck's driveshaft. As far as why the switch, aluminum is much lighter than steel ones which will in turn spool up the power quicker. Make sure you get one with vibration damper on it. It kicks butt!!

aluminum is good, but you really need to find someone to make one of these bad boys for the F-body

Hey, at that price, I'd take 3 and store them for the time when I'll someday have a C5 ... ;)

(FYI: currently, the website says it's $0.00)

I own a CF driveshaft and wouldn't recommend anything other than that. Night and day difference compared the alum ds.

Don't spend the $$$ for a new one wait and find a used one. :D

If you have to settle for a alum vs go w/ the TPIS unit or Lingenfelter. I'd buy it used too if you can.
