Anyone heard anything about the SLP Bilstein shocks? I just purchased the Vogtland 1.2" lowering springs and want shocks to go along with them obviously. No doubt i love koni 4/4 and 4/3 but those are a little out of the price range. Any thoughts, comments, experience? Also is this a fairly easy install? I have the tools and shop but would be learning the how to. LS1 how to has pic by pic discription but curious if neone has done a suspension change yet.

Doing a spring and shock swap is pretty straight forward. Just use a lot of WD40 on the rusty top nut on the front struts. I am one of these guys that must know the spring rate and whether it is linear or progressive. The SLP Bilsteins have a more rebound valving than standard Bilsteins. These shocks work quite well with the 1LE springs and the SLP Eibach springs. For the Vogtlands I do not know. But it won't be undriveable, if that is what you are worried about.

You do know the 4/4 and 4/3 is a Sam-ism. You will never see that in the Koni Catalog. I do agree with Sam that SA shocks are best for the general masses. Less settings to muck up.
I on the other hand have non adjust shocks valved to my particular spring selection. Works great.

Sure i know the sam ism. 4/4 is just the 4th gen front and backs and 4/3 is 4th gen fronts with internal adjustable 3rd gen rears. Did my homework on this one and everyone said go with the koni's. Saw you are Roy on ls1tech too. You posted in the viper vs z06 argument.
