This is at Quiddelbacher Hoehe. Never seen a car jump like this there, even faster race cars... strange... Anyway kudos for the new Z06 for beating the Porsche GT3 RS (although it's got less HP but on the other hand semislicks)! Like to have one

good point Ben, the Z beat the RS on runflats vs. DOT R-compound tires. Runflats are horible performance tires, I would be that good tires would be worth at least 5-10 seconds.

It is. That's what's called "Quiddelbacher Hoehe", just before Flugplatz.

That's the word on the Corvette forums, they ran it with factory tires and brakes.

Yeah I seen that but it doesn't look like the runflats of yester year. I imagine this tire is every bit as good as or better than the F1 supercup tire of the C5 Z06.

Why would they want to run a performance oriented car on suboptimal tires?

it's the same tire, just a runflat version of it, so it's got the extra weight and stiff sidewalls. The best thing I did for my car was to get rid of those things. Twice the price, half the performance.
Garry, that's the tire they are sold with. It sounds great in the marketing stuff, and 85%-90% of the people that buy it will never run the car hard enough for it to matter and the other 10%-15% will change the wheels/tires anyways.
