I replaced my regular battery yesterday with a Optima Yellow Top....it now seems the car runs smoother....any real reason for that...I only put it in there due to the upcoming audio install...Just thought that seemed wierd to me....

At most, it would probably help the alternator run better, and that would in turn help the car run a little smoother.

Unless you are putting in a HUGE, and I mean HUGE sound system, the red top is more than enough. That's what I have.

EFI systems like a steady voltage, and maybe the new battery helps to get the right current to your computer all the time. Either way, if it's better, just be happy.

Yes huge is what it will be...
3 Amplifiers - 2 of them that run @ 750 watt RMS, 3 farad cap, 2x 15" subs that can handle 800-900 rms, front and rear component sets, digital sound tuner/EQ, audio/video console, clarion deck and AC Anywhere power converter for starters...and other various lights and gadgets

That's big, but I think a red top would still be enough. Hell, it's only $30 more, so just buy the yellow top and end this topic! They sell them at the Vogelweh auto parts store. That's where I bought my red top.

LOL at the beginning of this topic I had already bought the Yellow Top....and I even got a topper for from Tsunami with a digital readout of voltage, like on a cap
is the red top 129.99 at V-weh? The yellow was 139 for me
