I've just read that GM recommends NEW brake caliper mount bracket bolts when changing brake rotors on Corvettes (at least C5s). Does that also apply to our F-Bodies? I'm still using the first one, have never changed them.

Yes it says that also for the Fbodies. Thats because the new bolts come with Loctite on them.

So... I can safely reuse my "old" bolts...?

topic comes up all the time on the corvette forum. Roy's right on with what 99% of the guys over there say and what I've been doing for the last 5 years. Both the caliper bolts and bracket bolts come with loctite on them, so if your able to clean and apply loctite, you're good to go. The only time you'd actually have to replace the bolt is if you stretch it.
