Hi folks,

untill now I can´t understand all the bad remarks on the 4rth Gen suspension and handling. My 2000 V6 vert handles nicely and even at 200 km/h on a bumpy Autobahn curve it drives just fine.

But there is one exception: The steering gear. Apart from the fact that the wheel is far too big for my taste it seems to have a very large ratio, it seems that I have to turn it like a sailing ship´s rudder just to drive a few degrees to the left or right. It reminds me of those old black and white movies in which the drivers where shown talking behind their steering wheels, constantly moving the wheel from one side to the other just to drive on a straight road.

Is there any way that can be modded? Of cource with keeping the airbag and TUV approved?

Cheers

Come down to Bitburg and do some AutoX ... then get in to Roy or Val and compare ... :) I'll try to get my SFCs on maybe this weekend, if so, count me in for a couple AutoX rounds ... tear up some tire ... need new ones next year anyway ...

Well, was trying to get them on at my friend's place, but he had a continouse shortage of spare time, plus (as I found out later) they should come on with weight on the wheels ... hoping to get a good deal at the local pitstop ... drop by there tomorrow with the printed instructions and get a quote ...

It doesn't alter the steering but a strut brace makes the steering feel a lot better as it stiffens the front end.
