Yes we have Hypertech PP III - just only handy for gear ratio changes, shift firmness in autos, shift points, eliminate speed limiter and has a 93 octane "tune" but didnt see much change in it.
we also have a more intensive tuner called HPTuners - which hooks to your laptop

I would not waste my time on the Hyper Tech programmer. If he wants a hand held then get the Predator from Runnin with the Devil (RWTD). They will send you updated tunes if you do future mods.
Here are some easy mods to do:
1. Air Lid with K&N Filter
2. Under Drive Pulley
3. Free mods (Throttle body bypass, cut plastic from under the air lid, grind throttle stop on Throttle body to achieve full throttle)
4. Programmer
5. Pacesetter Headers and Y-Pipe
6. Cat back exhaust
Those would put the car in the 12s with good traction.

Tell him to jump on the board here and make himself know. I see him hot dogging it all the time. That car sat at the Hobby shop for yrs I guess the original owner finally gave up. I remember him needing a new clutch but somehow got a new tranny instead or something like that.
EFI live or HP Tuners are the recommendations. Can't go wrong w/ either one.

I would not buy from RWTD right now because they have not been getting back to people in the last 5 months.
Which is why I just bought HP Tuners.
