Hi all,

I will be moving to Vilseck in July with my 94Z28, which wll follow in a few months. I was wondering what kind of emissions laws Germany had.

I had planned on getting a set of hooker longtubes (do to backorder of pacesetters) which have no egr/air fittings and wondered if this would be a problem. I do plan on keeping a cat on the car.

Any help appreciated.

Your car falls under the American sysyem , not the German .
So your car would be exempt basically from any emissions testing for now.

You don't need cats. I got them before I came thinking what the heck at the very least it will be quieter and less stinky and then last week I bottomed out on some construction in my neighborhood and busted one of them so now I get to remove them and put in some straight pipe like I should have in the first place. Yes that's all one sentence. :)

Be careful though... I heard of a few people getting knocked because of their car being too loud. I didn't pay much attention to it so I don't have any more details on it.

Well someone on Mighty just got decibel tested so it's here. Luckily they only tested him at idle and he barely passed that.

I just got here last week and my car should arrive Aug, 31.

Thanks for the warning, but I only have a magnaflow catback for right now,(decided to wait until I got here to instal the headers) so it's not very loud.
