Due to some unforseen complications I have to initially go NA. Here's the thing I have my 396 chip still in the car and I haven't loaded my XFI yet (part of the complication real root cause....IC piping) so in theory could I run my 396 chip? This is just to go through inspection if I don't have the parts in before then.
396 spec. 11:1.1cr 232/242 110LSA .544/.560 bumpstick
383 8:8.1cr 230/242 112LSA . 544/.576 bumpstick
Think it's possilble? I know the timing might be of concern but it's just to get the car running for inspection.

Roll with it. I know somebody here on the board that is running a 346ci tune on a 427ci and it runs fine....just down on some HP.

Thanks. I'll give a shot and see what happens. I will have to lean it out some as that tune was a little rich at idle but it's just to get the car to inspection. At least I'll be running and I can then take my candy azz time w/ the XFI during the winter if need be.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Say it ain't so! I guess you weren't able to get the piping together? I hope it isn't just the wiring. I will help you with that.
I would think it would run. However, don't you run the risk of burning a piston? IMO I would do a mail order tune for the time being. I just think it would be safer for a fresh motor.

Yep no piping. Parcel post so there is no telling when it'll arrive. I may just reorder it and make sure they send it priority and then once the other one arrives send that package back. No going stateside as planned as I have to outprocess while I'm on leave so I can PCA to HQ. Hopefully I can get my $ back for the tickets.
Thanks Brian for the help too.

Thanks Daddy! All hope is not lost just yet but we'll see. Finding a tig welder around these parts w/out them licking 200+ euro is hard to find esp when they're welding very little to begin with.
Times like these I miss the local muffler shop.
