Advice please

I've done just over 8,000 miles and the oil change light has come on.

So my Z28 is having its first service (free by the Chevy dealer I bought the car from).

Can anyone recommend things I should ask the garage to do?

just have them follow the owners service manual and you will be good. Also when they have it have check out the stuff if any that you think there is a problem with.

Personally, I wouldn't wait for the light. I put Mobil 1 in after 500 miles, and have changed it every 3000 since.. Better safe than sorry, is the way I look at it.. Just a suggestion. :)

That light does not understand gearheads that run there cars on the autobahn. I set cruise control @ 110MPH.

Thanks for the info.

I have decided to do oil changes more often then the owners book says. I thought every 5,000 miles - but 3,000 may be worth thinking about.

I will be using mobile 1
