Happy Thanksgiving to all!! I finally got sometime here in Baghdad to check things out on the forum. I need some opinions for a future cam purchase. I've been looking hard at the Thunder Racing TR224 114LSA kit, but the only thing holding me back is that they say at about 15-20,000 miles you have to change the springs. As you all know this is not a 30min job to do.
The other kit I've been looking at is the ZO6 cam kit. From what I understand you 'll only pick up around 20hp more but is alot easier on the springs.
I don't want to be replacing valve springs all the time or push rods but I want MORE than the stock LS1 cam offers. Are there others out there that would be better and with lees maint??? By the time I'm ready to do the cam (APR-MAY 04) I will have all the bolt ons and LT headers.
What do you think, help me make up my mind!
Thanks & Be Safe
Val

Hawk,
Thanks for the reply. I've still got lots of time to decide that's why I was hoping that folks would chime in with some opinions. Looks like things on the board have really died down here recently Hey guys please throw your opinions out there .

After hearing a 114 lsa idle, and now a 112, I would say go with the 112.. They have great springs now, that can handle lift up to 650, so contact Thunder Racing, and get their recommendation as well... Good luck!!

You should go with this one:
http://1888fastlap.com then click on the Land of the Giants, third pic from the top. Should give you great low end...

Looks like it would fit in one of those massive dump trucks. I can't find a picture of it, but I'm sure you guys know which one I'm talking about. The wheels are like 3 stories high, and it is just a MONSTER.

Not really ... they have some big engines, but the one up there is more like a ship diesel ... looks like it's somewhere in the range of 45ft long ...
