I am still trying to figure out how far!!! Getting sick of the roll bar and 5 point harness it is kewl to look at but a PITA for a daily driver. Actually I was thinking about a Drag bike to play with.

Hey Bruce- do like John, and put the stock 'belts in for daily use. As far as the roll bar, I can't imagine that getting old.

Bruce is just getting too old I think. I'm shocked your gonna quit before you get into the 10s. And if you build a drag bike, you got some big brass balls. Those things are just insane!!!

Just buy an old first gen or something Hawk. A bike would be too dangerous in my opinion. You have a family to think about!

At about 2000 there I was running through the break in. everything appeared good so I decided to jump on it!!! well @ about 7000-7200 I hear this BINK then I see genoromous amounts of sparks lit up the entire underneath of the car then I hear klunk klunk and the car jumps up the ground a bit lots sparks everywhere I am $hiting myself thinking I blew something. Check gauges light comes on I still got oil pressure So I pull off on a small side road with my flashlight jump out to see what happened let it Idle battery looks low and the water temp gauge is moving up fast WTF now the water temp needle is heading to 260 fast. I shut it off pop the hood belts are gone and so is the underdrive pulley. So I go looking for it found all parts 1st find was a balancer destroyed drug guess that was the sparks. 2nd balancer bolt looks ok and the the belt was shredded. I guess I shoulda checked the balancer bolt before I wound it up that high.

Hey Hawk, I am thinking of selling the Hayabusa Bike...
They will not let me stay in Germany anymore, I am going back to the states next year.
It depends on what the MP branch might have for me in a week or so.
Chances are that I will not be able to use the bike (probably not the car either).
8,000 dollars or so... I have one person interested, but I think he is just blowing smoke.
I am not 100 percent right now, but I am thinking about it.
You know that it runs.

Oh my gosh... I would hate to see the look on the wife's face.
I think she would say keep the car instead.

Have you ever been in Bruce's Hawk while it is in action?
The dense tire smoke clouds that can come from those tires can cause weather temperature changes.... Just stand in the path of the cloud formations in a sunny day and you will see.
For him to go back to a first gen would be ridiculous

Hm ... I think I'd trade the 'vert for a decent 1st gen, preferably 'vert too, almost anytime ...

There is a new 1st gen kit coming out in the states. 69 convertible. All metal. The body, minus the front clip, will be about $12,000. They are also going to offer a turn key version, bare bones for about $40,000. Sure sounds interesting!!!!!

Bruce, did you get it fixed yet???? It would be a shame if this kept you from the last race of the season.
