Well, I finally got the cam in my hands along with a cam install kit that includes gaskets and a new crank bolt.

All I need now is the tools, oil, and anti-freeze.

So this is my official thread asking who is willing and able to help me out on this.

Install is likely to be in Bamberg at NXZ28 bay over a weekend.

What weekend works for everyone? I am shooting for MLK Friday and Saturday if necessary, but I know people have plans.

depending on what weekend you do it, I wouldn't mind showing up to help out, but i don't know what I'm doing so I'm pretty useless. I'd like to know how to do this myself.

...wait, that's Bamberg not Bitburg, might have to go with Roy on this one.

I have been back and forth between Bamberg and Hanau over the holidays. I have very limited internet access until this Tuesday or Wednesday. I haven't forgotten about you all.

NXZ28, do you have the necessary tools? i.e pulley remover and spring compressor?

Gentlemen, me and Don need a balancer pulley remover, we have the spring compressor just not the pulley remover.

Don, this is what the guys at ls1gto.com are saying we need for tools:

Needed:
- Set of metric sockets, deep and normal (8/10/12/15 may be needed)
- Set of metric wrenches (8/10/12/15 may be needed)
- 1/2" drive 24mm socket
- Spark plug socket 5/8" deep socket
- Various socket 3/8Ã¢â‚¬

I am on the prowl for a pulley puller as well. Once I find once I will let you know were to get it unless someone has one on hand to loan out?

My heads have arrived and I have the tools I need. I will be back from CMTC on the 15th of MAR. Who is willing to help me get this thing installed.
