My last rebuild I went with the Lunati 6.125 forged connecting rods and a set of custom Diamond full floating racing pistons 375 grams. Still running the stage II LS6 heads had some sping breakage problems (CC941 suck) cured that with a set of CC918. Seems to be pretty dependable right now however. I am going to be tearing it down here real soon to inspect and perform maintainece at my liking and not on the autobahn park platz.

Here are the new upgrades
TSP 231/237 Lunati cam shaft
Patriot double valve springs
Titanium retainers and locks
Replacing JWIS Timing Chain with a new one
CC chrome moly 7.35 pushrods

Yes, but my lift is only like 540. I doubt I will have any problems there.

Trying to take it out I think. Not knowing how to operate that compressor. Hell, I might order some 921s just in case.

Bruce,
How many miles do you have on those 918s??? They say that they're good for 20k miles. Still looking at cams but have to get the exhaust finished first. It's funny reading back on this post till now and seeing how much has changed as far as stuff on the market for the LS1 f-bodies. It's come along ways in 2 years. Who would of thought 2 years ago that you could of put in just a cam that would give you 451hp with STOCK heads, & bottom end!!

I can't believe how cheap their heads are. Even MTI is selling their Stage 2E heads for like $1700 with no core charge.

I really wish that they would come out with some springs that wouldn't have to be replaced every 20K miles, that's a pain in the a$$ to replace! Heard alot of good things about the new 918s.
