It sure helps to have a friendly yet rigorous MOT tester to ensure your car is safe but who isn't blind to the practicalities. My annual MOT (roadworthiness) test revealed left hand drive headlamps (as the car is from Germany originally) which he kindly "fixed" with 6 strips of black electrical tape (removed the second the test was passed naturally). We had a disagreement over the orange front marker lights as he believed the MOt manual says no front-facing orange lamps other than turn signals but it was finally clarified that they were legal provided it ALSO had white side lights. He was going to pass it by removing the bulbs originally although he soon realised that's not quite as easy as it sounds so now we've clarified the point, I can safely submit it for test next year with the six strips of tape back on the headlamps.

Driving light on a German/Euro-spec Camaro? I don't have any driving lights or DRLs on mine...?!

I think he's referring to the side turn signals or reflectors. :)

My car has fixed orange running lights/sidelights that come on with the sidelights. To comply with the MOT, there have to be white sidelights as well as the orange lights. A couple of my friends have Euro TA's and one has orange lights, the other doesn't (94 and 95 models respectively) so I can only assume that it's an option somewhere along the line.
