Has anybody heard anything on the new SLP Clutch? The flywheel is supposed to be 8lbs lighter than stock. LG Motorsports is supposed to be R&Ding a new unit that is lighter and stronger than SLPs. Are there any out there that are as light as the SLP for less than $800???

I am using a RAM VDS PP 402 and the 6130 paddle disc ceramic about $380 !flywheel the McCloud slave is more important than a flywheel. Lets put it this way it does not slip but and it spills coffee an your way to work.

Hawk,
What I'm looking for is the reduced weight(flywheel & clutch assembly) for the faster revs while doing the twisty thing. Yes I'll lose some of the 1/4 mile ability but that's what my 73 Firechicken is for. Your clutch is awesome, but my wife has to be able to push the clutch pedal in too(LOL).
If I can't find what I was looking for than yes I'll end up with the RAM system that you have. I don't need one yet mine still works great but I'm not sure how it'll fair after this years events. Do you have any chatter with yours? Did you when you first put it in??
Thanks
Val

Well you definetly don't want a ST cost me 1100 smackers but got it for 900 on a GP. Flywheel weighs 7lbs though. :) Talk about revin quick?! It's even gonna rev faster this time around w/ the 8lb 3" ACPT DS turning it as opposed to my 3.5" TPIS 12lb DS.

I had the SLP PP and disk. Was in three months and then my wife tore it in half at Bitburg. But I think I had a pilot bearing failure to cause this. I then replaced it with a SPEC stg 3 carbon. I love the SPEC, its alot less friendly than the SLP and it either engaged or not. But it grabs like a mofo.

The slp was nice and streetable. Only thing I didnt like about it was it took about 700-1000 mi to get broke in where it wouldnt drag. The disk is a stocker LT1 but the PP has more clamping power and lighter.
