What do you fill your car up with:
Super or Super Plus?
I always used Super until recently, since then used Super Plus but didn't notice any difference...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the octane percentage in the states lower than here? That is, premium being about as high in octane as regular is here?

Super over here is actually around 90 "US" octane. Super plus will not make a difference unless you have increased your compresion ratio or advanced your timing to take advantage of the higher octane. Personally, I use super. Every 3rd tank in my '57 gets super plus or when I'm going to run it hard for an extended period on the 'bahn.

OK, well, I thought Super Plus cannot hurt since I'm going to the Ring quite frequently and I'm not cruising there...

I use Super Plus, cause if I try to stick a different nozzle in her,.... she locks the gas cap shut!!!

I would recommend Super Plus. Detonation is a bad thing, especially in an aluminum engine and heads. The computer will probably take care of it, but it does it by cutting back on your timing a little bit which cuts power. Personally, I don't use anything but Super Plus in any of my cars. The price isn't that much difference and the super plus will give you a little extra mileage. Just my 2 cents worth.

Super in the states is normally 90 octane
Super Plus is normally 93 or 92, depending on who you are buying from.
90 or above is a good thing!

I thought the measurement for octane in the US is "MOZ" (Motor-...)
while in Europe it´s "ROZ" (Research-...) and there´s no real way to convert between them..? I get a bit confused with all the different names and octane numbers

I think in the US they use (ROZ+MOZ)/2 while here in Germany/Europe we use just the ROZ...

I only use the best fluids in my Z, i.e. Mobil1, Super plus, liqui moly, etc..... BTW, 95 octane here is equivalent to 98 in the states.
