It's doing something to my car and I don't know what... =( Yesterday, I went out to start my car before heading out to work and when it turned, it started to act like it was gonna die... I had to give it some gas at a steady rate to keep it alive... =( They said it was around 36 degrees... This morning I went out and it started fine and seemed normal, but when I put it in gear to go, every time I step on the gas there is a slight delay... I just had the oil changed last week (using full synthetic), just had my low coolant module replaced three weeks ago and checked the coolant then, no problems there.... What do you all think it could be?? Any ideas??

only thing i can think of is the wrong type of gas. that happened to mine once when someone put reguler instead of super plus (super unleaded).

I had a few problems when my battery was dying and starting on that "only just" basis. Whenever it had trouble starting on a low battery, it seemed to phase the computer completely and I'd have a 2000rpm idle. I'd have to turn the engine off once I had some charge in there and restart it but it could still get that initial hesitation. I replaced the battery and have had no problems at all.
You could also try resettuing the PCM but if you have trouble starting, my guess is it's a similar problem to the one I had. It may be something to do with the O2 sensors when it doesn't start sending all the wrong signals to the computer. If you've got an old battery, I recommend you replace it.

I have had that problem in the past also due to a weak battery putting out a weak charge in "the complete circuit loop"
though it was on a BMW.....

I second the guess with a bad battery, i had similar problems till i replaced it. A weak source let the pcm go crazy

Could also be a little water in the gas. To get rid of it, get a bottle of rubbing alcohol and pour about half of it in the gas tank. Put the rest of it in the next time you fill up. That will get rid of the water.

Ok, replaced the battery and no more chug chug... But, my car still doesn't want to turn over sometimes... maybe once out of 6 tries does it turn over, the other times it sounds like it wants to crank but doesn't... And for some reason, I can not get my key out of the ignition... =/ any ideas??

As far as the key... You might want to check out the starter. If there is corrosion on the contacts, it'll require more juice to get past that. I had a car that acted like it had a dead battery, but it was the starter going out. Just make sure that all electrical connections are clean and tight. Especially the grounds.

Ok, the key stuck in the ignition problem is fixed... It was the security system causing the key not to come out... Everything appears to be fine around the starter, don't see any corrosion or anything, but I'm not a mechanic so I'm learning everything as I go... I was thinking about going ahead and switching out my plugs and wires... Also, possibly the fuel filter... How long is a fuel filter supposed to last??

Yes, I will be stationed at Ramstein working for USAFE... They've been doing the unit switch-a-roo on me though... At one point I was going to one squadron, now they have diverted me to another... =/ At any rate, looking for to being over there!!

... and you better make sure your Z likes cold weather by the time you come over here - won't be warm before maybe June or so, and then, it'll still be a long way from the TX style temperatures
