Anyone do a dyno with the GM Hotcam, I just did an install on my 01 Z06, sounds nasty. Does anyone have any 1/4 mile times with this cam and or road racing experience?

Thanks,

Nick

Can't say that we do. But just w/ the heads and cam you are close to 410-420 at the wheel. 01's were 380 stk right?

Hey Nick , Sorry no dyno times yet , But I doo have extensive RR experience with . The cam has a operating range to 55ooo rpms , but still pulls hard to my redline of 6200 . The midrange is fat on it also. Are you still going stroker?

Roy,

Glad to hear from you bro...are you back? If you are, welcome back. Looking at the specs of the hotcam, the power band and torque curve is better than the 01 LS6 Cam. I am going to switzerland on 7 July to get a dyno tune with LS1 edit, a tuner their is doing it for me, along with a chasis dyno.

We are doing the Vette / Viper shootout 10 July at Hockenheim. The swiss vette club: http://www.scci.ch is hosting it, I am awaiting my rear and tranny coolers and new radiator with engine oil cooler. Did not get the stroker kit yet, lack of funds, expect to in the next few months though. How about you, did you get all of your goodies on? I am on leave from 1-12 July to get ready for the race at Hockenheim. I will be in the Netherlands for the 4th of July weekend for a vette cruise. My fastest lap time without the cam was 2.06 minutes at 129KPH..I was smoking all of the oher Z06's last year. A lot has happened since we last talked. I will PM you to catch you up on details.

Take Care,

Nick

Nick just changed springs they have dual patriot springs that would work with your cam

Bruce,

Where did you get the springs from? I decided to go with a more mild lift cam to help in my endurance racing as opposed to the high lifts because of spring problems that may occur. When are you going to bitburg again. Do you know how to raise the idle of these cars? I am going next week to get a dyno tune in Switzerland before our big race at Hockenheim, we are doing a vette / Viper shootout at Hockenheim on 10 July. Can't wait.
This is the link to the race club that is sponsoring it: http://www.scci.ch
Do you know anyone that wants my old Katech cam?

Talk with you later

I would stick with the 02 Z06 springs with the Hot Cam. They are perfect for it and no spring issues what so ever.
