Hi folks,
I am thinking of buying an 99 Camaro Z28. What is the situation for spare parts supply in Germany? How long does it take to get a new camshaft or head gasket? On the Chevrolet Europe Homepage I read about a spare parts store in Sweden. What are your experiences?

As I am completely new in this subject, please tell me, what is F-body, G-Body, Y-Body and so on!

Cheers
Gunnar

You will not be disappointed. There is a fair supply of parts as the opel dealers service the GM vehicles and can easily get the parts.

The A,B,C body is just a letter assignment GM has given to its different body styles of cars. Ours of course is the F.

G body is reserved for the Bucick Regal and Grand National, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Oldsmobile Cutlass and Pontiac Grand Prix from 78-87.

A body is the Chevelles and Monte Carlos and the other cars from the 68-72 era like the GTO....

I hope this helps you a little. Just search the internet and you will find a wealth of info out there..... Just remember that F-Bodies Rule!!!!:)

First of all, welcome to the board, and hopefully welcome soon the f-body community ... F-Bodies are pretty seldom on German streets, do something against that :)

Please don't get me wrong, hopefully and generally, this may be the right, but I've been waiting for over two months for some parts ... :( Anyway, with a fairly new car, you shouldn't run into too many technical probs ... and I guess we can always have some parts come in from the States fairly quickly ...

Actually, it's the frame style, but called body .. oh well ... GM ...

I would not wait go for it this year NOW, and maybe you can come out and play. As far as parts goes how fast can you afford to go. I watched a video of one in the 9's WOW. click on it I think it is under drag racing.
