Took them out the box today and they are schweet!
What are some good install tips if you have any?
Did you use their gaskets that came w/ the kit or some
felpros? Seein how mine have only been on the car for
400+ miles I'm thinkin of reusing them insteadin of order-
ing another set.
Did you plug up your egr as well? What did you do w/
passenger header w/ the fitting on the back primary?
Cut it off or put heli coil to it and plug it off?
Just wondering. Gonna do these right w/ no rush job.
How's plug access and most importantly can I still get
on and off the lift at the hobby shop? You know how
low I sit. I'm thinkin the y-pipe will catch. Worse
case I just use the other lift and let the susp hang.
Thanks!

Hi John, glad your back. Although I havent drove the car, or even started it with the FLP's yet (stupid timing chain/damper :( ) This is what I know about the FLPS.

I took them to a shop to have them welded (the air fittings) but the guy had two plugs that fit right in them (I have no idea what size they are).

I got a set of fel-pros for the gaskets.

As far as the EGR tube on the pass side, I figured I would just cut the fitting off the flex tube that connects to the header, and bolt it up with a nickel or something blocking the hole. I havent started the car yet, but that should stop any leak.

Coming from MACs, the plug access is pretty bad

Thanks Rob. What did you plug up the oil cooler w/? I know you had one on there. So there is no way around to having it there is it? The engine doesn't require any liftin to put these on does it?
Thanks again and glad to be back!

No doubt, you'll have them on and running your car before me:).

But on the oil cooler, I just removed it (only a sandwich cooler), and I really havent paid alot of attention to it yet, but it looks like you just take it out. The radiator hoses I'll just running a piece of tubing in a loop, or cap them.

I think I will put the EGR back on, just not hooked up, and of course all the EGR lines/air pump w/lines are gone.

on another note, what would be the best way to clearance the cam thrust plate bolts that are trying to rub on my shiny new cloyes timing set? The cam gear sits closer to the block than the stock one, but since its a double roller it sticks out far enough. That and the damper are the only thing keeping me from bolting this back up.
