Yup, ......and here she comes, roaring to life!!!!!!!!!!
Lope? Yeah, I got lope baby(sounded just like that .wav of the CC306 on Nuke61's site), but then again it could be just the fact that there was nothing behind the Y pipe??!!! I didnt idle it or drive it, only the over 2k run for 2min +/-, but I could definatelly tell there is some hate 'ah brewing in her.
I think tomarrow I will take it alittle further from my neighbors, and try to figure out what is causing a nasty off throttle back fire. Last time this happened was because I didnt terminate the plug wires correctly. Using cut to fit wires always gives that possibility.
The one thing that concerns me is DTC 16. For the LT1 un-informed that means no low pulse signal - or basically opti is bad. That would be just my luck to have a brand new/broke opti.
I know that now comes the non stop exhaust/vacumn/electrical gremlin chasing, but knowing it started (with get the F*$k back authority BTW) with out putting a softball size hole thru the block has swelled my head beyond belief.
I changed the oil after the first start up, and thankfully no little silver buddies swimming in the lube!
...Anyway, I'll chime in some more about this I'm sure, but if you have some words of wisdom on my backfire (besides the obvious bad connection between plug and wire/wire and opti) let me hear it.
Dyno pull is tentatively scheduled in two weeks.........;)
cheers, its Miller time
Rob

Glad to hear it's doing good for the most part. Cross your fingers for me in about a month or so.

Rob- The only thing I can think of, if it's not the ignition system would be lack of back preasure out the exhaust. I know I had a backfire problem when I installed my new cam shaft. It was'nt a bad problem it only happened when I gave it quick throttle and let off but after the cam settled it went away. Good luck and congrads on first startup. Can we expect a video at idle:)

Well, true to my nature I had the #4 and the #8 plug wires reversed. 'ala backfire, but now its fine.

Just took a break, am going to take it off the stands and see how it drives. Monday I should be able to have the exhaust work done, then maybe people will start mistakeing me for a civic again ;)

I dont have anyway to post video (that I know of) but if you want a small clip, give me a shout and I will E-mail it to you.

A small tech note, is I noticed alittle more valvetrain noise (ticking) than I had before. I'm not sure if this is normal now, or if I have my RR to tight or loose??? I'll listen again in a moment, and probablly yank the valve covers tomarrow and re-adjust them.

You can post the video the same way that you do your pics. Just upload them under your member name....

Good ole LT1 plug wire reversed huh? I guess if you do that with a LS1, you got issues...

Almost forgot- Hell ya if you have a video I would definatly like to take a look. There is nothing like the sound of a nicely cammed car. It's a very addicting sound that's why I'm almost considering a cam in the 110 lobe. :)
