I am looking into getting a new module for my camaro... my HYPERTECH just isn't cutting it any more! I only have about $300 so a professional programed computer is out of the question. Does any one have any suggestions... on to waste the money on another computer mod or just get somthing else......... I want to improve the acceleration of the car... (I already have gears and a T.C. picked out and ready to order once I come back). Does anyone know if these computer upgrades are even worth the $$ or are they a waste of time! Thanks for the advice in advance! Later!

Rob is right, PCM for less seems to be one of the best, and for a great price also.
But, I would look into all your mods first before a computer program. Like do you have headers? What about 1.6 roller rockers? Cause its pointless to spend the cash on a program and change it 2 months later cause you did another mod, (ie cam) then you wont be getting the full benefits of a custom tune. I think the rockers would give you more than a tune if you dont have them already.

How does that work over here in Germany? Do you have to mail them your computer and then wait for it to be returned? I "assume" you just list all of the different mods that you have and they do a base tune for you? That should get me by until August when I hit the states!

Well Krazy you just might be lucky. I happen to have a stocker 1996 M6 OBD2 PCM you can borrow to avoid down time if you decide to send yours in. It has a 110 mph cut-off but you can just un hook the speedo to cure that. I just have to see if my Ed Wright pcm is o.k, I think I may have problems with it. But let me know.

If you go thru PCM4less, you can get a cable and they will E-mail you updates for mod changes that you can download yourself. Of course the first time you have to send in yours.
FWIW the turn around for Ed Wright for me was 5days.
Some of the places will send you a PCM and charge you a core charge that they refund when you send yours to them. Just have to ask them.
