Can you fill me in on the EXACT 94 and 95 Lt-1 differences ?
The Faq only shows a Opti, timingcover and waterpump drive difference but i believe i've seen something mentioned about pushrods or connecting rods and pistons or something like that ... Anybody ??

Thanks,

Sergio

more a differance of material over dimension. Whats got you spooked?

Piston wise, they're the same, pushrods???? material issue, dont even know if it is differant. Con rods, are differant I recall. But the exact material I cant recall. I want to say the 94 were the "pink" rods, and 95 up they went forged.

Well, after working on my lt-1 to identify all wiring and check all connectors for function and presence i found out some colors didn't match up, i then had a suspicion and checking out the opti revealed mine is a 94 instead of the promised 95 !!!!
I called them up in a rage and they agreed to send me all the parts that i need to convert it to the 95 vented optispark status including the timing cover and wiring.

Now i'm trying to find out if there are any other differences that they might need to send in order to make up for this major F****** mistake !!!
Guess i'll have to stop buying used stuff from now on as you can hardly rely on people nowadays anymore :(

as long as they send the cover, vacumn lines and the connector (94 connects to the opti with a wide connector, 95 has a narrow longer connector) plus your gonna have to do some minor surgery to connect it to your wire harness. Also since it is a 94 intake, your gonna be short a vacumn hookup on the intake. You'll have to make a or get a t-fitting.

Obviously there is a cam change in there as well.

Sorry for the setbacks, but you should be okay after you get over the frustration of waiting some more.
