I have, due to repairs, had to push my Firebird around quite a bit more than I care to admit. After all of that pushing I realized just how heavy my car really is. Does anyone have a PERMANENT weight loss program for the f-body other than the usual drag pull-outs? ie., back seat, trunk flap, less gas, lighter rims.

Second, I want to order a bra for the car. Is there a particular brand that is better and any I should steer clear of??

that's what I bought for my car, it came with the front end, the hood piece and the headlights but yours is different. Good quality easy to clean and I think that they have been around for quite a while. I paid $75.00 on the internet. Ebay

Don't ... in most cases, it will hurt the car more than it helps ... if you get a bra, make sure you remove it often, especially when it's wet; keep dirt and stuff out from under the bra ... if you really need to, just put it on for long trips ...

Thanks for that, I'll have to check it out.

Also, I have been thinking about the glass. The total weight of that has to be upwards of 300lbs, 200 at a min. right? Is there a quality, alternate replacment, that's cost effective?

Great pic Garry. As far as worrying about my front end from the bra, well lets just say it would be a 100% improvment. My front end got messed up by the trailer that took me to Tonys. What do ya expect for gov. work. lol Seriously, I am looking for a good brand and am thinking of going with Le Bra, but if there is a better looking one out there I would like to take a gander.

Le Bra is not very good quality. It's up to you but I would pay a extra 20 and get a wolf or a high quality brand that is going to fit your car the way it should. I had one for two years and always pulled it off and cleaned under it but it dosent matter it's going to scuff your paint or clear coat.

You can look in a Jegs catalog and they have complete lexan? window replacements for f-bodies. You will save alot of weight.

I took out my Tranny...... I lost alot of weight with that... but she don't seem to move as fast anymore..... things that make you go Hmmmm..... but I wouldn't go with a bra.. I had one on mine and it did more harm than good.

Dont get a bra. WHenever I see somone with a bra on their car, especially a camaro. I assume they are trying to hide the damage to their front end.

Thank you,
That is exactly the reason I would like one for mine. I know the shippers are going to damage my car somehow, I don't feel like going to the body shop twice. Just need something to get me to the states. The look of a bra is a little better than primer white. Right?

Chris
