I'm in the process of installing a md player. I didn't get the adapter kit and I'm too far in to get one now, so my question is: does anyone know where I can get hold of a wiring diagram for a '94 with the built in sub? I've wired many of radios but never have I seen anything like this!!!

After browsing through 40 pages of schematics, the radio system is the very last schematic in the book of course ... ;)
Can't guarantee for the values, better check before connecting especially the suspected power supplies ;) Also, please note duplicate use of some colors ...

Yellow - Ignition Power
Orange - Battery Power
Steering Wheel Controls - Dark blue
Grey & Tan - left front Speaker
Dark & Light Green - right front Speaker
Brown - Lights On input
Grey - Illumination Input
Dark& Light Blue - right rear Speakers
Yellow & Brown - left rear Speakers
Black - Ground

Source - Haynes Repair Manual, 4th gen 93 through 2000 ...

That is exactly what I needed. Every car I have ever wired will have corresponding colors, ie: blue & blue w/white or black line.
Also, where did you get that book? I need to rewire evrything under the steering wheel. Who ever owned it before me had 2 alarms and a remote entry. I didn't get any of the remotes so now when I turn the dome lights on the windows roll up and down on their own???
Now that there is actually snow on the ground I have a reason to park her and do some things I've been putting off.
Thanks again!

Hope it fits your car ;) Guess it should ...

Cousin picked it up at some place in the States - You may (or might not) have luck at your local AAFFES bookstore ... no telling, been a while since I was in one last ... best bet would probably be to have some of your folks get it at autozone or something and send it over to your APO ...

Also, have you tried getting a replacement remote? e.g., the Alarm on mine can be programmed for additional/replacement remotes ...

I'll look into both, the manual and the remote. Thanks again!

I've been trying to dump my radio too. I have ordered an adaptor plate (to DIN) from Audio-Direct in the US, who cliam it was despatched in November....
I've been given warnings that I can't just put a UK spec CD/radio in as I might have ampifiers embedded between the radio and the speakers. Is this true? I was expecting just to put the wires direct into the back of the new unit. where would any amplifiers be located?

zcam94 - I think I got the manual Garry refers to from amazon.co.uk - if you can't get it locally, this might be quicker than from the US.

I have an amp in my car that some one else installed. I have no clue how they done it either. I've got a multi-meter and I'm just checking wires here and there. Plus, like I said above, I've got 3 different alarms in my car??? As of last night I haave one out of the system completly. It just takes a little time.
As for the radio and speakers go, I have the factory sub hooker up now. I'm hooking the rest up Saturday. I'll post all my troubles and findings.
