Well, after 4 hrs of cutting, grinding and welding, we finally have it installed. Found some nice 3" pipe in the scrap metal bin that looked like it came off of a truck and hacked it up to make my exhaust. I installed the cut out right behind the collector for maximum flowage, I had forgotten the cap for the cut out and when I had started it up in the craft shop, everyone looked at me like I was crazy. Needless to say the drive home on the autobahn with it "uncapped" was interesting, with all the Germans giving us dirty looks. Finally I get the cut cap on (I still need a gasket for it) and its much quieter than the flowmaster. Its much quieter at idle and when cruising, and got rid of the resonancing in the cockpit. At WOT, its friggin glass-packishly loud!
Although it has a glass-pack sound at WOT, I am very happy with it, and it also gives my car more of a stealth appearance, as it looks like I have a stock exhaust and you have to listen really hard to hear the lope, heh heh heh.... :-burnout:

Thanks George!

Jeff

When I am not in the field, on leave or when the car is broke. I have been to plenty of meetings, just not too many latley, cuz my car is not up to snuff as a show car or a road racer, as it seems that is the way most of the meetings tend to go latley.

Now dont get me talking about the old school F-body europe! ;)

I was at the car show in Vogelwegh (sp?). I saw you and your car.
I am talking about when there would only be about 7 or 8 of us show up to a meet, really just a BS session in a parking lot then we would go for a drive or play around for awhile. My car was down for the longest due to a mutalated Centerforce DF clutch, so I would just cruise down with Rob when he was here. Now that my car is up and running, it seems that everyone is mostly into the autocross/car show scene. Not that there is anything wrong with it, heck, it gets the club recognition, but its just not my bag.
I really try to make the meetings, but I usually have other things going on that are out of my control. I missed the last one as I was on leave, the one before that cuz I was in the field in Graf, before that I was in PLDC. I am going to quit now cuz this is not the forum for this and I feel I dont need to explain anything, but I did so because I want you to know that I am not a poser.
BTW, when is the next meeting? I really want to make it.

Jeff

Dude, I've been in the Army for 8 years, so I know what you're saying. I mean, shoot, there are like 50+ members, yet we can only get about 15 max together at any one time. It would just be nice to get everyone together, and take a huge photo of the club. Plus, I'd like to see your car in person, and learn what all Rob's hype is about. It must be special, as it is the only other one he posted on his website!!!! :D

Well, there's so many nice meetings through the summer, that it's just nice to combine the two things ... we had a real good turnout in Würzburg, and Nürnberg was pretty strong, too ... anyway, seems like Fulda might be a good chance again ... once we get set up, I guess we'll have some time for ourselves ... do a couple of extra runs, make a couple pics ... :)
