Jeff proved that the LT1/could hang with the LS1. I was not able to stomp him like the rest.J/K My point here is if you have a LS1/LT1 equipped f body car then you can back up alot of smack at the track. My bigest worry was other 4th gen f-bodies that wanted my money. LOL

You talk a lot of smack Bruce and that's cool, but you know for a fact that you will have a run for your money next year (from more than one person I think too).

There always were some hard running 93-97 LT1's around ie. Willis, Johns pre396, Jeff, Johns buddy with the hugger orange Z......

It seems your track times are a bit more realistic this time around also. I was surprised by how slow the LS1's were dialing in, but they were running (Hawk) 4+mph faster, proving they make hp. Kinda makes me think of a supra TT time, 13.6@120mph...(sarcasticly skewed time) no flame intended, but lack of torque, combined with high hp will change the curve. Without the last 1/8mile, its easy to write off the LS1 as overrated, but we know that is only half the track and the story.

My last 1/8run with exhaust, CAI, 4.10's and pullies, I ran a 8.9 @79 with a subpar 2.2 60', so I guess if we traded your altitude for my heat because both tracks sucked, the numbers make sense. BTW Jeff, I guess I still havent learned to launch like you! :-ok:

On anygiven day, any car can beat any other car.

I must say the same Bruce, I wasnt able to stomp your LS1 like I did the rest. You have a fast car and deserve to talk smack as you can back it up, God knows I did and I still will! :-rant: I now have a new mod so I will talk more smack accordingly:)

Rob, drop your Nitto's down to 18lbs, you need to bring your RPM's up according to the pavement your on, then feather out the clutch as fast as traction will allow possible then when you feel it in your psycie that it will hook, dump out clutch rest of the way and floor. It hard to explain here, but it takes practice. My launches came from being constantly hole-shotted off the line by 5.0 jockeys. I then realized that I had to get it down to a science. One of my next purchases is LCA relocation arms.
