The following is from an E-mail from Paul at thunder racing:
"Here is a package that I can
do for you. The CC306 cam is nice cam. It's going to have a choppy idle but
it's still streetable. 4.10 gears would be a must though.
Thunder Racing LT1 Cylinder Head, Camshaft & Valvetrain Package #2:
This package is engineered with upgraded springs and retainers and
non-self-aligning valvetrain parts that can handle higher lift camshafts and
high reving motors. With a Comp 306 cam, Dynojet Chassis Dyno results have
shown that this package has made 374 rear wheel horsepower @ 5800 rpm, with
341.9 ft/lbs of torque on a '96 six-speed Z28.

Seems like a pretty complete kit. The dyno results are lower than the package from GTP, but about on par. I wanted to use the mezeire water pump, but it looks like the 95 opti conversion might hold me up, and the oversized crank sprocket sounds like it will take care of the chain slop. I have another E-mail from IRS, it is very similiar, except for the cam, but without the timing set.
Well, what do ya think. Its coming down to crunch time, and I'm going to have to make a move soon, or lose my nerve.
