In the last month, I have been caught up in the mustgofaster fiasco, where the guy got the money, and disappeared without sending the PCM's (still dont know whats up) and I am playing mail tag with a set of lost FLP's.
Still, I havent lost faith, and ordered what is closing in on my last mod (yeah right). The friendly people (and I mean that) at Scoggin Dickies are sending a set of CNC'd LT4 heads/Intake/Hotcam. Its all in stock (heard that before) so I should be able to post a couple of pics of the Heads in the next week or so, so you can see how good or bad they did porting them.
There are a couple more odds an ends I have to round up like the cloyes timing set, and maybe a set of Impalla head gaskets, and little misc, but all the big stuff has been decided on, and ordered.
The only downside so far, is my car will be down for a unknown amount of time. But its a good "down" I keep telling my self.

Yeah the good old down.... That is a bunch of B.S. I tried to tell myself, well atleast you're alive and it will be better than before. Well I am without my car and it sucks.. If it was in my garage and I could look at it every day it might be a different story. Well congrats on the new setup. You will have to meet me half way to Benning so we can try them out...... Hmmm after I spend the DLA of course:)

Meeting up doesnt sound to far fetched, because I plan to visit some of the bigger events next year (crosses fingers) like Bristol or Daytona. The "Real Street" class is something I'm dying to try. Besides, its my hidden goal to get into some magazine, and that is my best shot (not just reader's rides)
Of course, I'm curious to see what a ported LT4 spinning to mid 6K with a 50-75 shot of gas chasing it will run and I will want more witnesses of it, if it holds togethor than just Billy Bob and his dog Duke.

It should run fairly great... I want to get a cam, ported heads (LS1) and a custom program as soon as I get to Georgia. I might also consider squeezing a little Ha-Ha juice in there also. Only time will tell. I am just curious how the car will respond to a cam.

That sounds great. Did they give you any flow specs? Does the intake come ported also? Are the heads fully assembled? Sorry to ask all these questions, butI was drooling over them myself. I wish tax time would come quicker!
Mustgofaster fiasco? I am about to send them my PCM! Can you give me the skinny onj what happened?

"flow specs?"
No they didnt, but I'm assuming/hoping they come with some type of data card. I'm sure they wouldnt just say they are ported, and they arent. ummmm, they wouldnt do that would they?, guys?!!!
"Does the intake come ported also?"
No
"Are the heads fully assembled?"
Yes
"Mustgofaster fiasco?"
His name is Dave, and he has dropped off the face of the earth. Nobody can contact him, but the money has been deposited. I personally think there was a emergency, because he was fast becoming the best programmer, and I dont think he would flush the reputation over a couple thousand $$$'s. Check cz28.com for the skinny

Well, i think you'll have to be more specific as you can't just find it at Cz28.com with so many threads and even more messages, and Yes i looked but couldn't find it.
I'd like to find out the details though.

He is still missing (over two months). There are alot of people that know him, and have tried going to his business. No luck with call, email, or visit.
I'm going to have my bank reverse the charge today, and do what I should have done to begin with. Go with Ed Wright.

After doing a search on that board i was able to find a piece of thread which ended when Brent closed it !
He didn't like the personal flaming and posting telephone numbers and things like that.
These SOB's have NO clue what internet is about and that freedom of speach is #1.
Like with many of those Big boards the moderators probably get kickbacks from the industrie as you should see how they try to talk somethign straight that's completely crooked.
We are talking here about people who work for their money and end up losing a part of their paycheck due to an obvious scam.
What a shame !
Has Dave been found yet ??

I got hit in a similiar scam by Auburn Performance Equipment on a Borla Exhaust GP. They charged everyones credit cards, then never said anything to anyone. We tried to contact them, but they would not answer their phone. We left voice mail and e-mail messages, but they just blew us off. We finally had someone that lives near their shop stop in and pay them a visit. They then posted that the GP was cancelled and that our CCs would be refunded...that was in June, I still have not seen a refund. My CC company is investigating it now.
Be VERY careful who you do business with...there are alot of dishonest people out there!!!

I reported them to my banks fraud dept, but mine is a little more involved, cuz like a dummy, I used my check card, instead of CC.
I'm sure it will work out, and I got my order form for Ed Wright filled out for when it does.
I cant help but think something happened to him...shot, wreck, something. I just cant believe someone would risk all of the public exposure over what cant be more than 10-20K. Doesnt make sense.

Ouch...that sucks!!!
I always use my CC. If it's full (always)...I use the mod money to pay it down, then use it to buy more mods

Good thing you had mentioned that Rob, I was about to send my PCM to him. I am going to have Tony flash it for me. All I am waiting on is for him to get the program, I guess he has to get a programer for OBD2. I feel special now!
