Currently my set up is: Ceramic coated pace setter headers, no cats, shotty German muffler shop craftmanship(pipe they welded in from header y-pipe to cat-back is smaller than stock, 2 1/4"?), and flowmaster muffler pn.42583.
This car is loud as hell, getting too loud. I need a fairly inexspensive cat back. I was thinking Dynomax. They are inexspensive but never heard one. Flowmaster is much too loud, unless they have some quieter options. Any suggestions? Pricing?
Thanx,
Jeff

For quiet you could weld a stock SS muffler from SLP in there. They have been tested and shown to flow really well, but the sound is not there. I had headers on mine and it was not loud at all. The WS6 and the SS have the same mufflers...

Well Jeff
Its all about priorities.
Yes, your car is loud, but it sounds better than any other car I've ran across. I dont know why, but I cant re-create it even with the MAC's and offroad pipe with a flow.
The flows have no material to "blow" out over time, and they are a true pulse muffler, vs a Borla, which is a turbo muffler made for boost.
You can look into Dynomax, MAC, SLP (basically a flowmaster de-tuned), Hooker, or countless others. But know up front, that the quieter mufflers mean more back pressure which means less go.
The best compromise would be the cheapest, steaming POS quiet muffler on the market with a cutout put in. Then you could decide on mild or wild.

Thanks guys! I do love the way my car sounds, but I hate getting the gas face from my German neighbors, I have even been told that one filed a polizei report on me. Yours will sound like mine when you get that hotcam in there... it completly changed the whole tone and sound of mine.

I've been told my exhaust is loud too. BBK's and flows. Wouldn't change it for the world.

Yours is nice, and very moderate on my loud 'o' meter. Jeff's on the other hand sounds like a 60's muscle car in its prime.
Alot like Willis's sounded towards the end, but deeper.
