First of all, I have to thank Jamey for his organization skills that benifit lazy people like me ie. his Link Site.Image

Well, I've been using it alot, checking out the other message boards, and you know I hit all the LT1 vs. LS1 posts cuz they are always good for a laugh (the peoples posts, not the question, geeez guysImage) Anyhoo, this one guy on Fbody.com was giving out gems of advice, and he bottom lined it like this.
Quote:
...it takes about $5000 to make a LT1 run like a LS1
Image where does he buy HIS parts??

Oh well, I thought it was funny.
BTW how did you like my blatant overuse of emoticans?

I thought the emotions were cool. I think this guy is full of it. They both have the potential to be very fast. I'm sure you already knew that.

Personally, I don't think 5 Grand is enough to make a LT1 run like a LS1 :-bash: . The LS1 is so superior to the LT1, I'm thinking more like 8 - 12K!!! :-dunno:

Bwaahahahahah...Just kidding :P

Yup, normal bolt ons and it will run like a LS1.

Headers, CAI, Exhaust and you should be just about there.

Yes he assured me if installed properly no problem. They have installed that same package in several customer cars and not 1 CC 941 has broke. He did caution me that I should replace the springs every 2 years because of the aggresive ramps I will be running. By then I should be ready for some heads. They should be a little cheaper then.

Just check some of the posts on LS1.com !
That's where a LOT of airheads hang out who claim that there Ls1 runs high 12's BONE stock, yet when you check the car for mods it has CAI, Drag Radials, free mods and an perf Exhaust !!!! Yeah, that's stock allright.

The best Joker must be Bill Spano who runs faster than ANYBODY with his 400 pound (at least) and only goes faster while the rest only slows down to summerheat.

Sure there is a group that is realistic and sincere but there are quite a lot of Ego Strokers that think they can outrun anything.

I got some bolt ons and maybe I get beat? But that is OK because I will pump it up some more. Just like you are doing.
