This is a site that was introduced to me by someone I work with who's ordered from them before. They have blocks and anything else you want for some really good prices.

Before you buy from him , Take a look around at some of the other GM dealers. I have found SCD's prices to be on the high side for everything that he sells.

I bought my major parts from them, and I think you should be aware that they also sell Ford and Dodge, from small parts to long blocks.
When you finally talk to a human after calling them, they arent always the most knowledgeable.
For example I wanted the crome valve covers with the red bowtie on them. They said sure, and then never included them. (no big problem, until)
I called Pace and tried to order them from him. Pace says, Oh no, you dont want them, they wont clear the 1.6 RR, you need XXXXXXXX.
My point is, that Pace knew my car, and the parts they carried, SDC didnt.
Also, in my order, they didnt put the opti spark, but 3 timing covers, and 1 very unhappy Hotcam (dowel pin bent at a 30deg angle, and rust on several lobes)
To be fair to them, I got a LT4 intake, LT4 heads ported by Lingenfelter and a LT4 Hotcam kit for around $2200 which is a pretty good deal.
On a side not, Thunder racing carries GM performance parts also, and they have great customer service/knowledge

Looking for the best deal I can find. I found out about there customer service the other day when I called and talked to no one. The thing that really interested me about them is the 383 assembled blocks they have there supposed to be really good. I know what I want to buy I just don't want to kick myself in the a$$ for buying somthing I could have gotton cheaper and better. I'm pretty much not worried about getting the block. My big thing is the heads I don't want to get a set of jacked up ones. And the other thing is where is the best place to buy LT4 ported heads???

I dont know what the flow numbers are on the SDC LT4 heads, but they send them to Lingenfelter to have the work done, so even if it is a standard CNC stage I, it is done by a reputable shop.
Thunder and T byrne must use the same shop (dont know who) cuz they're ad is a exact copy of each other.
As far as the best ported heads, its pretty much the consensus that its GTP, but they're porting service is going to run around 2k on top of the price of the heads. I would just ask what the "best" is going to be worth to me. 20-40hp? $1000+ saved on heads, buys quite a few nickel and dime parts that could make the differance back up.

That is just a little bit of extra money $1000.00 for a few extra ponys they can have it. I'll sacrafice since the car is more than likely going to be blown. I was looking at the fully assembled AFR LT4 stage 2 heads since I found out the 3's are really not streetable and bad for a blower. How much do you think lingenfelter charges for the stage 2 LT4's ??

Me personally, I think the big "L" is right up there on the charge to much for any given product scale. It just happened that SDC uses him for CNC porting, and it ran about 400 per head.
As far as blower apps, Lingenfelter is pretty much a NA man, except for the occasional turbo vette or viper. People have had great success with getting the stock LT1 heads ported, and it would save alot of $$$ (dont have to buy a head)
The AFR's have all kinds of extra metal, so they lend themselves to extensive porting(does that mean they arent all that great stock and need alot of grinding? I dunno), but in the HP wars, they seem to always be a bridesmaid to the GTP ported heads.
I wouldnt want to get quoted on chamber volume, milling, and the type or amount of porting (int/exh) for a SC motor, but it would be a differant animal than a NA head, not to mention the SC spec cam and its specific needs for head porting. I would try to find 4-5 really sorted out blown cars, and the shops they used and "copycat" the setup. Thats probably no real news, but it is effective. As far as money goes, cheap and blown stroker dont really go togethor.
Other than the occasion use of mother nature in a bottle, I have only researched NA setups. So I'm not much help.
G'luck
