No the car is not for me... I am helping a friend of mine look for a 89 - 93 Mustang LX with the 5.0. He wants it to be in nice condition.. but not to expensive. If anyone knows of one for sale please let me know so I can tell him.... Thanks all. Later!

Tell your friend there are two things to keep in mind.

1. It will be easier to find a 93 Cobra for sale than a 89-93 coupe. Hatchbacks are alittle easier to find, but not to likely in Germany. You may only have one soldier trying to do it so they can buy some new whiz-bang BMW.

2. LX's in Nice (unmodded) which is Rare or LX's in Nice condition (still have straight floor pans) with 75-140K on the clock will price between 5500-7500. Dont go shoping by the blue book, cuz he'll never buy anything, but a beater.

And the third thing I just thought up, is that 90% will be an auto, or a convertable - slooooooooooooowwwww cars!

forgot to mention,

He should check out autotrader, or the for sale section in Stangnet.com . That is how I found mine. I realize it would be alittle hard to buy from there, but it would be useful to find out what the average going prices are for the cars, and what to expect from certain price ranges.

I have seen the one in the stars and stripes. It is in Ansbach on Katterbach kaserne. It is a ugly orangish color LX with chrome 5 star pony rims. It has good, but ugly paint. I didnt notice any mods, and interior looked good. I think it said somthing about a stereo system in it. 5 speed and 6500.
