Hey I am getting closer to picking up the 97 SS and I would like to get a few things for it. I am looking at doing a tune up and changing most of the fluids (oil, tranny, antifreeze). I also want to order a PRO-5.0 shifter to replace the stock truck shifter they come with. Where do you peeps shop at? I figure I can get most of the tune up shat at CarParts.com, but I can't find the shifter anywhere but Excessive Motor sports and if I remember correctly I heard that they suck. I heard they have terrible customer service and take forever to ship your order. So basically I am looking for a few options on web sites that have a variaty of items. I'm not really interested in looks or major engine items at this time. Manly bolt on stuff. Thanx. P.S. If everything works out right (which it never does) there will be a 97 SS cruising the streets of Spangdehlam this next week. Peace :)

My favorite aftermarket parts vendor is Thunder Racing. My favorite GM Parts Vendor is Pace Parts. You can go to my website for links. There are also a lot more vendors on my site.

You could also check on CZ28.com and LS1.com to see if there are any sales or group purchases going on for the parts you are seeking.

I am with Both of them. Thunder Racing. Jack is also right on the others, they are all good to get stuff from. I believe thunder does the Pro 5.0. Also you can always e-mail them. Alot of the vendor don't have everything on their website, but carry it.
