Well, I got pulled over at the front gate this morning for a ramdon check. No problem. The guy asked me if I had the V6 or V8. I told him V8. he asked me if I was sure, cause the Z28 badges weren't stock and also I have a single exhaust. I told him, yeah I changed the badges, but take a closer look at the rear-end. Then he asked me the year and argued with me that it was an '01. I assured him it was, that I ordered it from the factory. The finally idiotic thing was he said a friend of his just got an '02 and said it came with the Corvette engine. So I told him all '98 and above came with the Corvette LS1's. He said, but you don't have the covers that say Corvette on them. So does that mean if I have cover that say VTEC, that my 350 is a Honda engine. Some peoples children! I just smiled and went on my way.

Yep. Well, obviously your female and know nothing about cars? Right. :) I can see people believing that too. Then they make themselves look really stupid when they know absolutly nothing!

I am not the "Official F-Body Europe Mechanic" (George lol), but I do know a little more than where the gas goes and where to put the keys. It is great to see the looks on peoples faces after they realize they are wrong. It is priceless. Glad they let you on post without having to call GM.

What a loser! I would have asked him where his rice rocket was, and then I would have said, "nuff said!"

I know all about your PAIN Jessie!!! I have to deal with the same people! But they just tell me that their V-TECH is faster than my car since it's an auto/vert! I just laugh and tell them I'm ready whenever they are!

Nope.. I try like hell to get that crappy white integra to race all of the time and the red eclipse with the euro tail lights to race.... but their always busy... or their car is being worked on (while it's right next to them) or some other BS excuse!

The elcipse is for show. I know the guy with the integra is pretty much stock engine, but is plannig on a cam. He knows he can't beat us. I have talked to him. He's actually pretty cool. The guy with the eclipse is just a poser! What do you expect from a cop. Right Jack. j/k

I keep getting asked if that's a big block in my car even after I tell them it's a 350 or if that vacuum canister is a nitrious system. Go figure...

I figured on both accounts.... they both have to much exterior crap to have spent any $$ on their engines.! Oh well I'm still waiting for a peice of that RED Civic around here (the one who flipped me off).

oh The misery of stupid people that don't know but think they know everything about cars. It seems that if you drove a 7second pro dragger everyday to work someone with a four cylinder would say they could beat it. If you guys want to see some serious rice and have lots of fun go to Ft. Bragg. I guess if I really wanted to build my car fast I would just by a 29inch tac and get 7ft by 6ft racing stickers to go the entire length of my car. And well I'm at it I should dump project 383 and just get the v-tech engine NOT NOT !!!! LOSERS. All you can do is laugh!

Well I will play the Devils advocate and say rice is fast. Yes you heard me Rice Is Fast. There is some rice that will pull up beside you at 70mph and leave you like you are standing still. I will admit it has happened to me driving over here. I tried to catch up, but there was no way I could. I could not believe those 4cylinders beat my 8cylinders like that. You would think that I would have left him, since mine was not stock. I mean I had an aftermarket air filter, new tires and come to think of it I even just got done a full service. I tell you the rice let me know that my HMMWV was not all that....:)
