Garry, with the winter time among us, I think we should use the time wisely to get the club more exposure, especially on the web. How about putting up another links page with car clubs etc. that will in turn link to us? So far, all we have is the manufacturer's links. I also think there should be a direct, easy to find link over to the O:SL site.
I had started on a completely new setup some time back, but didn't get too much of an echo about it (/new)... the current design is fine, but harder to manage, especially with the graphical menu to the left ... apart from taking up pretty much room, adding new entries always involves changing the gfx and updating the image map data. Also, I think it would be nice to have the site multi-lingual, german and english to start off with - the way I set up OSL makes it pretty easy to manage and add new languages once we find somebody to take care of additional ones

The topic illegal street racing has been picked up by the German media a lot lately (there have been a couple of deaths!), I think it would be cool if we could somehow get with those TV & Radio folks to show them that somebody is working on an alternative to racing on the streets and mega-buck race events. That could really make next year's races huge!
Definitely ... look at what's going on in the US and Germany about state agencies getting extended access to Internet data since NY - having some bad things happen is the best way to get through with alternatives or counter measures ... at least in our case, the alternative is something good ... we should also try to get in contact with the local police of places where some street racing accidents have occured - wouldn't it be cool to officially race a police car? (and kick its @ss? I don't think the regular german police cars would have a chance).
Anyway, we will have to get started on some press information - then, we can contact some of the german magazines like Chrome&Flammen, BMW Tuning, VW mags, etc. and get them to run articles ... btw, did anybody get some higher resolution pics from either of the OSL runs (or regular photos) ? We might want to put some of them with the information we write up ... the 640x480 pics I have will do to start off, but in case any mag decides to run an article, it would be nice to have some pics to go with it ...
