The other day, my wife and I went to the furniture store to look around. We were sitting in the car, talking, and were about to go in. Then, this couple walks up to their Golf, parked next to the Z. Well, the girl opens up her door, and doesn't even try to stop it, it just flies open, and hits my door, and the whole damn car shook. Well, since she probably doesn't know we're sitting in the freaking car, I honk the horn, and before she gets in, she looks at me, and I give her this look, and she goes "it barely even touched it." I got out as she was closing the door, and I'm like, "you better watch what the F#$K you are doing. I was so pissed, mainly because she didn't even attempt to avoid hitting my car. Now I know why I always park so far away from all the dumb@$$es!!!

Hope you don't have any damage on you door there ... (I got a couple of stone chips on my hood and driver side door ... hate it!)

That is the typical person who believes a car is only something that get you from a to b with time to shop at c, and probably has no clue why you would even care about it.

It is the most frustrating thing in the world, and that is all you can do is park a mile from anywhere you want to go, but even then, someone will still pull in next to you :( , usually a minivan with about 10 kids from the daycare so they can all take turns smashing your car and smearing ice cream and bubblegum on the window.

Maybe, the 3 day cool off period before you can buy an Uzi is a good thing.

Well, it's been several days now, so I'm fairly cooled off, but I tell you, if that crap happens again, I might go postal on someone!! You are right, Rob, it is frustrating.

Thanks Garry, and luckily there wasn't any visible damage. I have the bump guard or whatever on there, so I'm glad for that. Why some people take them off is totally beyond me. There is really nothing to do about the stone chips, except drive slow or put a bra on, but I really don't like the idea of my paint coming off because I put a bra on there. I do suppose, however, that it would be ok for just highway trips!!

My wife and I fight all the time about how far away I park. I've been drilling it into her head, how important a car really is. She's getting better but she makes me cringe whenever she opens my door. And jack your absoulutly right someone will hit your car and look at you like your the a$$ hole for saying something. It makes you wish you had a beater just so you could hit there car back twice as hard.

I know I have a few war dings myself. The worst part of it is waxing your car you notice every nick and scratch. The only thing you can do is have a ball pine hammer in the car so when they hit you. You can show them the error of there ways.

Yeah, I think we all know those idiots that just don't give a sh** about other people's stuff. I have many door dings to prove it. But it could be worse, get this: My paint job was about two weeks old, I drive my car to this party and have a good time. I come back to the car and find an old tire that somebody threw on my hood. NICE SCRATCHES!!! You can see them on Saturday. I think whoever did this would've died if I had caught them that night. I now have comp insurance to cover my car against vandalism. Sad but necessary, I guess.
