I want to redo my rearend but I want to just take the entire rearend out of the car all together. Do any of you guys know a place up here by K-town that would powder coat it at a good price. I'm tired of jacking up my car and looking and having it make my eyes sore. I was also thinking about taking the Tranny down and having the same thing done. I know if I get it done black it'll releive some of the heat by about 15 to 20 degrees.

Ryan
Actually Ryan you would have to dissamble your rear end and tranny if you want to powder coat . The process used will destroy the seals and any components that could be heat sensitive.
Also if you coat it,or paint it it will allow heat to build up with in the components. This is caused by the insulating properties of certan coatings. That is why nowadays you never see any thing any more .

Roy I never doubt your knowledge when comes to this stuff. I always thought black would help dispurse heat faster. So what about High temp painting the rear end with a can of black paint would that work?
