John damn that list is long, what do you say you throw some of those parts my way. I new you would have the longest mods on the board, Mr money bags. Throw some my way :)

Krazy I would tell you my mods but I haven't yet decided on my rebuild. I could tell you what I had but since it doesn't work screw it. Do you want to upgrade your camshaft anytime soon let me know I'll sell you a killer cam and valve springs. just an offer.

I dont like doing this, cuz it makes me realize all the good money I threw away, but:

Engine:
Ported LT4 Heads, Intake, Hotcam, rest of valvetrain is Crane, FLP LT's/ Ypipe, Flowmaster catback, cutout, Meizere elec WP, March Pullies, SVO 24# Inj, Ed Wright PCM, BBK 52mm Tbody, NX wet kit (75-150hp),NX heater/opener/purge/all safety items, ATI damper, MSD DIS6, MSD coil, dyno bat, LT4 extreme timing set, 1LE bellows, IAT relocate, GMS MAF, K&N FIPK, all ARP bolts

Tranny:
Spec stage III ceramic clutch, spec aluminum flywheel, 1LE aluminum DS, Motive 4.10's, T/A girdle w/stud kit, lakewood DS loop, B&M ripper

Susp:
Hal 10way shocks, Eibach pro-kit, Hotchkis anti roll bars/STB/LCA/Panhard, Trac-link, IRS subframes, Energy poly bushings everywhere, Wolf 6pt rollcage, Nitto DR's on undecided wheels (probably Fikse FM-5's or Enkie WIN's), anti squat brackets

Misc:
White gauges, MSD shift lite, Scanmaster, alot of look good widgets and thingies like pedal covers, shift knob, fan shroud, Tbody cover, NX console switches, carbon badges, fill letters in back, brake lettering, blah blah blah

The obvious things like LT4 KM, Cags, no EGR/AIR/cats/Tbody bypass/MAF screen and other little things. Probably missed something, but thats the majority.

one possible future is a built 355 running 12 psi of aftercooled Vortech S trim and a 50 shot of N2O to cool the intake somemore.

You guys have a lot more done to your cars than I expected. I figured one maybe two of you to have built them up that mutch, but it seems like just about all of you have stroker motors and NOS. Guess I am playing in the big leages now. Sweet list. Looks like a dream list for my car. Slowly, but surely I will get there. Just won't be while I am over here. Thanx again

Rob? You running a crank pulley w/ the ATI? I wanted to know if anyone has done this and will it affect harmonics?

Thanks for finding that John! :( J/K :)...I have to go find where I saw the U drive ATI, its built as a unit just like the normal one.

I probably shouldnt have listed both, right now its gonna be the stock damper with pulley, but as soon as I get the shim milled down, and the proper hub key the pulley will come off and the ATI will go on. Damn thing costs to much to sit in a box!!!!

KRAZY, the mod list sorta happens. You have to remember though, that some of us had our cars paid off before the LS1 was a twinkle in GM's eye, so we have had a pretty good head start.

Rob this is kinda out off the topic. The ed wright program you got did you have any problems with it throwing codes or does it work good. The only reason I ask Is I need to get my PCM reprogramed and I've heard people say they've had problems with his programs. Due to the fact he doesn't have a dynoe in his shop and he has to drive to use someone elses. But the setup you have minus or plus a few changes is what i'm going to build to so I need to get a reliable program the first time around. Thanks for any help.

This is what I was told:
He uses a type of programming that doesnt alow editing, (way out of my depth here) like "tunercat"??, so some techie people frown on him.
He has a dyno, a very optimistic dyno I'm told. Alot of the OKC F body guys go up there all the time when they have they're OKC vs. Tulsa club shootouts.

When I called him (Ed) I was told I had two choices. 1. send in my PCM and a tech sheet on the car, or make a appointment to have a custom dyno tuned PCM made. Only problem with the custom one was the waiting list was about 3 months out.

As far as codes thrown, I cant tell you yet, maybe in a week or two, once its running and the gremlins have been chased away. I can tell you that he showed concern when I told him about the GMS MAF, and told me even though I modified my OE MAF sensor (which according to him was almost as evil) I would be better off with it than the GMS one (he had several well chosen swear words about it :) )

Definatly good information I've just heard some people say his chip works for them and others say it's a code thrower. I definatly wish you good luck on your chip. I know I would be pretty Pi$$ed if I just handed over the money for a bum deal. I know someone who got there PCM reprogramed and the car didn't get dynoed where it should have been but when they got a chip through MTI( I believe) They got dynoed 60 ponys higher with the MTI chip. And (Ed) wouldn't refund there money plus the chip had the service engine light glowing and he still wouldn't refund. Now this is all off of what one person told me so maybe he just had a bum deal. I know (ed) did a good job a programming the impala. I definatly wish you luck and hope you don't encounter the same problem.

He seems to be on top of it. I know when I got mine, he was right in the middle of filling a contract for one of the racing series (I want to say ASA) but even though he was swamped, I still got calls from him at work if he had specific questions.
The problem some people might have had was with the tech sheet you send in with the order. If you dont list the things you have or want I can see where problems come up.
When I was at "Powerhouse Performance" getting the 5.0 dynoed, I saw a test between stock and his PCM. Only about 8hp bump, but torque was up 20-30lb across the board. This was a 00 firebird, I would guess a LT1 would respond with equal hp and torque increases.

This guy I was talkin to had an LT1 383 so maybe it was the spec sheet he sent is or maybe somthing just went bad. I guess anytime you deal with computer programming you always have that risk of something not responding the way you hoped it would. How far have you gotten on the camaro.

Now this is a good topic, especially for Newbies.

Please post more advice on mods as I'll be starting my suspension changes in Spring 2002 (if I can afford it!!).

I should have the engine back togethor this week end (fingers crossed) but I'm waiting on 2 lousy bolts for the vent tube that connects the heads.

I took a month or 2 vacation from the car, but now I decided to get it back on the road.

I hope your LT4 setup goes togethor better than mine. If I had to do it again, I think I would have enlisted someone that had atleast seen this kinda work before. I almost bit off more than I could handle (probably should wait until the car runs before I say that ;) )

Ryan.....Ed is the man when it comes to burning programs w/out a dyno tune and a bigger man if he has your car strapped. I've had his chip in my old set-up and it rocked! He initially had problems BUT he sent me new ones until it was right and shipping was free provided your statestide. In your case I'd get a used PCM and send that out so you won't have any downtime.

My old chip is in Johnny's car and since Ed lost my file I've got to get my old chip back for at least a wk to send back to Ed for an update on my current setup. Stay away from Superchips, MGF,.................

HOPEFULLY the place in Holland can do them on the dyno but I have to confirm this.......
Mailorder may be you only option for now until someone drops $$$ for tunercat or LT1-edit or speedpro.

Anyone got a laptop?
