Yeah, this "new Ford GT-40"(?) looks really cool and has lots of power (500 hp?). Unfortunately I think if they built it, it would be quite pricey...

By all indications, it is going to be built. Target price is right at 100k. If they are going after the Viper, I think maybe they packed to much, but it is a cool symbol for a car company.

Well, its a done deal. The GT-40 is going into production. With the new 03 cobra that is basically a Saleen S281 (went 11.70's on slicks), a more powerful lightning (already running mid 12's), the MACH 1 (unknown) and now the GT-40 (SC'd 5.4 mid engine) it seems as one domestic company is still in the performance game.

All isnt lost, Dodge is putting a viper motor in a truck, and building the copperhead (modern day charger).

You can still tow those cars to the motorsport of your choice in a new fangled GM pickup though!!! :)
