I couldn't take it anymore, so when I got home from work today I put my Pro 5.0 shifter in and my Flowmaster exhaust which just arrived today in the mail.

First impressions:

Pro 5.0 = love the short throw. Feels a little notchy. I didn't miss third once while I was out beating on it though. It doesn't seem to like to find third on the down shift, but I can live with that for now. It's better than not finding it on the upshift.

Flowmaster cat back = I got the 2 / 2.5" out. Install was the easiest exhaust I ever put on. The 3" pipe is huge! I was kinda worried because there isn't much clearance over the axle section. It seemed to want to be very close to the underbody of the car no matter what I tried, but I didn't hear any rattles when I drove it. The sound at idle is sweet. I truly thought it would be louder. Maybe once it gets broken in. I didn't want an exhaust that was to loud, but now I wish this one was louder. I always seem to do that. I guess I am just never happy with what I got.

Oh yeah, I installed the LT4 knock module two days ago. Can't say asa I noticed any difference, but it is in there to stay.
All I have left as far as performance stuff is the March underdrive pulleys and the clutch. After that I have a lot of maintenance I need to do. I definetly need to take the time to fix that intake leak, it is driving me "Krazy". Leaves a puddle in my driveway and smells like sh*t everytime I drive it. I'm embarrassed everytime I pull up to the gate because I know they can smell it.
Well gotta go for now, just had a few moments and thought I would share my success with you all. Peace :)

Good to hear everything is comming together. Like I said before, the new clutch will make it feel like a new car with more power. This nice weather is pissing me off. ;)

Glad you like your flows! They shouldnt change in tone with age though, cuz they have no material inside them to blow out.
Once you get headers and a OR pipe on there, your car will sound right

Yeah, the nice weather is great, but now I am dieing to put my summer tires on. I know once I do that it will snow again so I'm trying to hold out. Uh, I'm doing it for you guys, yeah that's right....I don't want it to snow and ruin your Sunday speed fest. Yeah, yeah, that's it!

Hey, Jr let me know what time in advance, same place as always?

Dave what does he have done to it? Not that I'm worried. We'll be meeting at the normal place for all of you that know where it is........... and we'll be going to the normal spot or the new spot depending on traffic. Dave just call me sometime Sat afternoon about the headers!

He's running mostly stock. I forget what exactly he has done but I know it's just some bolt ons. I'll call saturday afternoon after I wake up. Around 3-4.

Please tell me this isn't the crusty white mustang convertable with the blue racing stripes that was at the festival of speed last year!

I'm glad you like the 5.0, but if you're interested, you should try it with Lou's short stick!! ;) These cars sound really good, once they are woken up! Good luck with getting the finalizations on the car sorted out!

Yeah I looked at that, but I think I will just cut an inch or two off the top of the 5.0 shifter right now. Heck I might not even do that. As of right now I am happy with the throw length.
Screeeeech, vroom, click, screech, vroooom, click, vroooooooom.....crackle, crackle, crackle. That's me in the 1/4 mile :) Hope you enjoyed the ride! Peace

If you want to shorten your stick some you can order a cool looking shifter knob from MBA. You can get your choice of logo, color and size. The threads are way up inside and shorten the stick considerably. I love mine, brightens the interior also.

The stock knob leaves almost 1" of threads showing, so for free I think I can shave about a 0.5"-1" off of the stick and have a shorter throw. But like I said I am happyright now so that will come later.
