Well I finally got a chance to ra e the White (89 - 90 with a 5.0 and some bolt on goodies to include cold air intake) Mustang over here. We have been having piping wars for about the last two weeks so we decided to settle it. We went out to the usual spot (with HowieZ28 and Krazy) and went for it. He never had a chance I took him off the line and had him by about 2 to 2 1/2 car lengths by the end... not even a full qwuater mile. The only bad thing was that he was a sore loser! He refused to race anyone else (I think he had his feelings hurt.... his friends ragged him pretty hard I guess they wanted me to lose!). After I had a Mustang for lunch I decided to eat Krazys SS (which was more of a challange.... sorry Tracy I had to throw it in there... just show this to your wife and she'll let you buy more stuff..... mine does!) Then I went 1 for 1 with Howie... he missed 3rd the first time (I won) then he flat out smoked me on the second run. Well that's about it! Later!

Oh, the truth does hurt. I would like to blame my launch abilities, but when I shifted to second you just jump about half a car and slowly pulled from there. But you are right about fourth gear, I was starting to slowly (read: slowly) real you back, but that is way after a quarter mile so what does it matter. I would like to get a few good runs with you so I can practice some more. I was told about a new spot that is not a main road so maybe we could do it a little more safely and with less chance of getting busted. I just need to get my clutch in. When I try to feather the clutch at the launch to prevent wheel spin it starts to slip at the end. But that is not my excuse! You were the better car/driver that day. I will be victorious one day, as long as I get you before you put your gears in. Anyone want to donate to Krazy's slow SS fund? I've got a great record so far - 2 wins and 4 loses. The two wins were by error, but they are wins. One was Jr melting his tires at the line and the other was Howie missing 3rd.
P.S. Jr you car did sound sweet with the cut out. I truly thought it would have been louder. I may have to look into that myself now?
Peace:)

Krazy... I'll be worried once you get the new clutch in.... like Dave said it's like a whole new car. I would love to race some more but I just put the car back n the garage (asgain.... but we all know how long that actually lasts).... and I leave SOON! Then once I get back I'll have some work to do on the car... like install all of the parts I ordered while being where I'll be....... When do you PCS? Where is the road you're talking about? I'll get with you later!

DAMN, and I missed it all!!!! I will be thinkin gof you from here in San Antonio though.
Good kill though. I will be having mustang for lunch here, since my brother in law has a '99 GT.
You guys have an '02 Black SS now to play with. I talked to him on Tuesday in Spangtown. He was interested in the club and racing. Sounds like he wants to run nitrous. Has a Nitrous Express kit in the states and a few bolt on. Nice car though. Has the center out exhaust like the Vette's. So if some has a flyer or something and seess the car, drop him one.

I would not venture to say it is a great spot. In fact I would say it is a pretty bad spot to be doing what we are doing. But none the less we do it because there is no other alternative other than to ignore our hobby. Isn't that why most people street race? But come on down and you can play! We (well I) invite all types of cars and people to come down and race. It's all for fun and bragging rights:)
