Well I filed the report with the SP's on Sunday. I was going to do it Saturday, but they wanted to charge me with failure to control my vehicle. So Sunday when I went in and told them of the tire in the road I swerved to avoid they did not charge me I went to the insurance company and filed my claim. I will have to pay $400 for my deductable, but all is covered to include the tow there. I do not have rental car on my policy, but the club pays off as Dave with the 97 TA WS6 offered to let me use his second car. Talk about friends..... After posting my saga on the internet to a few boards I am sure this is the major damage. Of course 4 tires and wheels, bent rear axle(explains the shifted look at top of tire. Possibly a slight bend in the rear of the passenger side of the Subframe. I think the SFC saved the frame. The front I am probably out a set of A-arms upper and lower on the left and the steering assembly. A new paint job for atleast the front and passenger side, if not the whole car since it is hard to match metallic paint. So I will find out more probably Thursday and my car should be back in town next week. The insurance company said they can recommend places to take it, but it is my decision on where I actually go. Any suggestions from the local guys? All I want is possibly to get some different rims(Y2K Vette) and any of my suspension components that are bad replaced with aftermarket. They can keep the extra money....... Sorry so long, but I need to vent occasionally. I think we should start an F-body Europe bad car luck club.. We should already have a good strong membership......

Yup, two people from Saturday alone is a good (bad?) start ... do I count with the &§$§$&§ battery? Nah ...
So how come you're in for a paint job? Thought you said it hadn't done anything to the body ... !?

Rock chips from the time I have owned the car. I blamed it on the accident.

I have several pics, Ill post 'em soon...
Since we're venting... I'm supposed to ship my car on Thursday. The registrarion expires while its en route to Dallas, so I went to get it inspected. While the German inspector looks at the car I make small talk and say Im shipping it soon and just need a renewal. I mentioned this before... he then finds an exhast leak (fixed), a very, very small drum brake leak (wiped off) and a bent tie rod end. VERY slight bend, its not unsafe and can still be adjusted. Theres no way he will look the other way on the tie rod, even when I showed them a reciept of the new one I ordered (whole front end poly rebuild). Well, the tie rods didnt come in time, and even though you "deregister" your car when its shipped, it cannot be expired when you pick it up... I have tripple checked this policy and have been looking for a loophole, and an SP at registration found one. I have to register non-op, turn in the plates, turn it in for shipment, and when it gets to Dallas, I have to get temp. plates and drive to Little Rock. All of this because one @ssh*le decided he didnt want to pass me!!! I would have slipped him $50 to turn his head the other way and save me hours of aggrivation!

Know what you mean - german TÜV (and Dekra and one other place) wouldn't pass mine because they said the back tires were too far out from under the rear wheel case - we're talking a quarter inch or so! Because of security reasons ... come on, if I'm gonna hit somebody with them couple of millimeters, guess what hits him first - a big, hard mirror ... stickin' out _way_ further ... and not in the legs, but somewhere between hips and chest ...
Also, I see riced-out Audis, VWs, Opels all the time with wheel hanging out easily twice as far ... or more ...
Oh well - wheel change once every two years ain't that bad ... even though I could probably get a couple bucks for the stock chrome wheels ... this way, I just stack em in the basement ...

It's all good. After seeing that crap unfold it's the least I could do. Once its done, it'll be brand new. Dave

I think you misunderstood what I meant. Dave Vautier with the Black Trans Am WS6 is lending me his second car to use while mine is down. I do however thank you for the ride from the prison(ADAC) to the show. Oh and for the killing of the rice bass that was playing there at the show.

Hey George, you've seen mine get done twice, and both times were nothing short of professional, so I'd recommend you have them do it!! BTW, good to hear that you have some news!!

I really hope it turns out to be as painless as possible.
If you are going to have to replace the front a arms, LG makes a adjustable one (probably lighter too).
I sure hope the unibody didnt get tweaked, but if it did, how would they fix it when you have subframes already installed?
If the insurance pays for the vette rims from a german dealer, they will probably want as much $$$ as a set of Fikse!!!
Sorry again
Rob

Well I am working with a guy that I know who owns a shop here. He said that we can order whatever I want and all I have to do is pay the difference. That is cool since it is probably cheaper for the parts I can find than stock. If the unibody is tweaked a grinder will take off the SFC and then they can be re used.
