I nearly forgot this one as it happened just after I bought the car. I was coming down a long entrance ramp onto the M25. There was a Lotus Elise on the inside, top up, guy inside with his blonde girlfriend in the passenger seat. I came alongside and had a look down into the car. He looked over and grinned. I saw his hand ram the gearlever into 3rd. As he began to spring forward, I kicked down. His reaction advantage only got him to halfway up my front wing before the steam hammers kicked in and he was history. In fairness, he accepted defeat and didn't try again. I know they only make 118bhp but they weigh 723kg against the Z28's rather more lardy 1577kg (yes, more than two Elises, distressing isn't it!). Titanic 1 Powerboat 0

I try picking on someone my own size but those juggernauts just don't want to race!
Anyway, how come you got "Z28 in the UK" under your "Cool Newbie" monicker. I suddenly feel deprived!

Good hit.
But the tables would be turned if it was one of your nice twisties or tight road course.
I easily burn em the same way on the Autobahn but when I hit Nurburg ring these cars come right back at me when I start to get in some of the more technical sections there.
They just have phenominal handling.

On behalf of two LT1 Trans Ams owned by two other members of our club, they'd like to add the smug smiles of two Lotus Elise drivers to their kill totals. A friend of mine has just ordered a brand new Elise. He's mine, I tell ya!There was an interesting track test on a TV programme over here in the UK recently where they put a 2 1/2 ton Bentley Arnage Turbo (450bhp so comparable to an F-body)up against a Lotus Elise. The Bentley repeatedly smoked this little go-kart down the straights and kept ahead on the corners until the last few corners when the Elise finally ducked up the inside and pulled about 10 car lengths through the final corners. Conclusion: Stunning performance from the Bentley but you can't beat the laws of physics.

When I was over in the UK at Christmas, I spanked on an Elise on the M20 heading towards the M25. He started it and I finished it.
Then He caught up to me just befor the M1 and we cruised the M1 at about 110MPH, until he tried to pull away and I just left him standing again. That was the last I saw of him.
Scott, what's up with the car?
