Bruce? Do you have a route in mind or is that something still being worked out? Been looking at the map myself and they all look good to me from what we talked about earlier. All I know is I'm coming and my Pops will be co-pilot he wants to cruise the south bad when he gets here. Can't let him down. :)

Aren´t there any festivities being organized for the 4th. The American Community in Munich always does their Littl´O Fest around those days. And there is a lot of Parking space on the former McGraw compound. No strip there, sadly, but i´ll be lookin for something in the vicinity. Regarding camp and BBQ, there is a fairly nice campground by the Isar river - there´s even a zoo there if you wann bring kids and family. Also it´s just a jump to Austria from here. Wouldn´t recommend the swiss side, very strict on speed and stuff around there.

Hawk,
The idea sounds pretty great. Will we throw in a bbq in there one of those days or just skip the BBQ idea all toguether. I would definitely like to check out all the spots that you mentioned specially the Munich area and The Alps.

Count me in for this idea, the dates are good with me.

Ok for me. Don't need a Hotel in July, should be warm enough - as long there is a shower somewhere... :)
don't want to drive with windows rolled down through carwash.

How about a water hose J/K I was thinking you could go to the gym in Vilseck and we could stop at a swiming pool for a hour or so and get a shower there on the second day.

That wouldn't work too well, anyway - not enough water ... I could give you a ride in the 'vert with the top down, though ... :)

Hawk - even a waterhose would do it for me - done before :P

Garry - wasn't there a commercial on TV years ago about this young couple getting naked and drive the convertible through the carwash? ;)

So I will bring my sleeping bag and a big bottle of soap.

So, i can arrange for a few people to roll up their bags in my flat. Otherwise i´d recommend the Munich campground i mentioned before.

BTW. Do you mean before or after the 4th? Just curious.

Hawk when do we want to start this, on the 4th or on the Friday after?
Want to have some fun with the waterhose... :-fruit:
