Had a blast at EuroSpeedway Lausitz this past weekend.
ASCAR only raced Saturday because of rain on Sunday.
One car (#48) had an all American crew from the 48th Fighter Wing in England. Spent all day in the pits talking trash with them on Sunday.
They will be back for the ASCAR races on the same weekend of the C&F Meet and again in September. Got a used Stock Car Special tire for the living room decor.
Driving about 75 MPH it took about 3 to 3 1/2 hours to get there from Vilseck. A-9 to Hof, 72 to Chemnitz, A-4 to Dresden, A-13 to Berlin get off at Klettwitz (exit 15). About 10 miles of construction from Stollberg to Chemnitz.
The track sits right next to the autobahn.
For those with gas coupons, there is a 24hr Esso Station right at the exit for the race track.
