You are full of it. You don't work! You are going to love it down there because you will be doing less work.

Hey Hotrod,
I contacted the MSgt in charge of the maintenance section there and he confirmed it is what we thought. He said they have 2 permanently assigned mechanics(soon to be 3) and right now 2 guard mechanics helping out. I will be working on M series vehicles, ATV's, motorcycles, generators, and GP vehicles. Also they are going to be starting to work on the boats a little. He said they send any serious maintenance to base maintenance(sweet!). He also stated that they have a lot of parties. Sounds like a really tough assignment :) All of that and it is in Florida right next to what I have been told is known as the most beautiful beach in the USA. Man I can't wait to leave this shat hole and get there.

I already have a few leads on a F-body club in Pensicola (sp?) they want me to check out their web site and quote "give them a shout".

I can't say just how jealous I am. Howie and I wish everyday that we were still there. Hopefully we will get to go back. Even if not we plan to move there when he gets out.

Yes, the beaches are the most beautiful in the US. White sand and crystal blue water, and the food. Don't get me started on the food. When you get there head down to Destin. I hope you like seafood. There is a good restaurant called The Back Porch which is where I worked. It's right on the beach. There is a playground there right outside on the beach, so you and the wife can relax have lunch and let the kids go wild. You do have kids right? I think Scott said you did.

Not surprised Hurlburt is so laid back. Eglin was too. Howie's shop would be done with work around Wednesday. On Fridays they would either play volleyball and have a barbecue or we would all head down to the water to water ski and jet ski all day. Life was so difficult there :o)

Most Beautiful Beach in the USA? NO WAY!!!
Most beautiful Beach in the universe!

Except I don't like them to build those ugly Hotels right on the Beach. Sorry but those Architekts there have no sence for the beautiful nature.

I love seafood! I swear I could live off of sea food, steak, and beer. Shrimp, crab legs, lobster tails, squid (calamara(sp?)), fish, you name it and I probably love it!!! There are so many reasons we are happy to be going there. Yes we have one kid. She turns one year old this month (June). That is why I am trying to get you and my wife hooked up. She loves to talk about pregnancy and kids. As I am sure you will once your little one is born. We do mean to call you sometime, just been very busy lately. Talk at ya later.
